Mundipharma Pharmaceuticals Limited is an Irish company and is part of a worldwide network of independent associated pharmaceutical companies.

The associate companies have their beginning in 1966 when two physicians, Dr. R. S. Sackler and Dr M. D. Sackler, acquired Napp Pharmaceuticals in the United Kingdom.

We have been present in Ireland since 1973, operating initially under the Napp Laboratories name.  We specialise in the formulation of extended delivery systems for tried and tested pharmaceutical products.  Our development of sustained release morphine (MST® Continus® tablets) revolutionised the treatment of cancer pain and was recognised as a major advance in this area. Today, our products are at the forefront of the management of moderate and severe pain, using oral, transdermal and intravenous delivery systems.

Our focus is now on the analgesic, oncology and respiratory therapy areas.  We are actively involved in the development and supply of innovative products with a view to improving the quality of life for those who suffer from chronic debilitating disease.

We are committed to the continuous development of quality healthcare products and supporting educational activities for those involved in the management of chronic illnesses.
